Paschal's wager is just dumb, cowardice, dishonest and it negates itself.

If someone believes based on Pascal's wager they lose both ways.
1. If there is no God they lost their own identity by accepting something they did not believe in.
2. If there is a God they still have not been honest believers, just hedging their bets, which is not a conversion in the first place so they could really approach God and say I believed in you.

Any believer that would encourage Pascal's wager, I question their understanding of a healthy spiritual relationship. And anyone that would follow I would wonder about their sincerity.

No because Pascal never meant it in the way it is depicted.

First it is not written from the Christian view, it is written from the viewpoint of enlightened self interest. Secondly it was not written to directly get people to believe in God, it was written to show those who reject God something about why they reject God.

It is human nature that we seek that which we find valuable and the more valuable, the harder we seek even though we might have no assurance that what we seek even exists.

So why don't unbelievers at least seek their Creator? The answer has to be that they don't see their Creator as having value to them.

It really should be banned from RS lol. I mean it typically is used between atheist and Christian--but really--it could be expanded to what if the koran is right--and allah the one true--shouldn't we convert to Islam post haste and not take the chance with our soul lol. I vote banning pascals wager.

Perhaps an even better (or more cowardly) wager would to believe in all gods that threaten punishment for nonbelievers.

I don't think it's cowardice, just dishonest.

for believers, it's one of them.

professing diminished responsibility by proclaiming gods will is up there too.
