Has anyone here ever eaten real manna?
If so.....what does it taste like.......could you describe it for me?
Or was this just a food that was provided from heaven by God to the Hebrew people in the wilderness....and now it's gone for good?
Thanks,
Primo

You know......after seeing all of these answers, I just realised how far removed I am from OT study. I totally forgot about the fact that the manna was no longer necessary after they crossed into the promised land.
Duh.........

Primoa, dude, ya gotta get your behind back in to the Tonach!
In answer to your question, yes, I have eaten of Manna. Not the physical manna that the children of Israel ate in the wilderness, but rather the spiritual manna in regard to Who it represented. As Jesus made clear in John 6:57-59...
"As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
...and also I intend to eat manna later, from the very pot hidden inside the Ark of the Covenant that is in the heavenlies, as Jesus announced in Revelation 2:17...
“To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat.”
What does this manna taste like? I agree with David when he instructs the listener in Psalm 34:8...
"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"
I have tasted of His grace and mercy, and indeed, the Lord is GOOD!

Manna was a miraculous food provided by God. It is written that they put some manna in a jar inside the Ark along with the copies of the tablets of the Law and Aaron's staff which budded.
As the Israelites are no longer wandering in the desert, it's gone. There's no record of where the Ark is, either.

To use your own words, "...this [was] just a food that was provided from heaven by God to the Hebrew people in the wilderness....and now it's gone for good?
However it tasted like bread made with honey.
Exodus 16:31 (King James Version) 31And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
Hope I helped. God bless you.

Exodus 16:19-20 ~ Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning." However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.
It was sent daily for a specific purpose to last for that day only. There's no more around now.
Exodus 16:31 ~ The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.

We call them Cheeto's today. And they are Kosher Dairy! And technically unleavened! The perfect food!
I mean if you have to eat the same thing every day for 40 years... well I'm just saying....
Oh and Brother Dave001 I would remind you then that a miracal still happened at the Red Sea Because the Egyptian army all drowned in One Foot of water... which by the way according to the text stood up as walls on either side and oh um the ground was completely dry for the Israelites but became a quagmire for the Egytians... Oh well what ever you twisted veiw is must be right because I mean your reason is so much smarter than God.... Oh yeah I guess if miracles aren't real neither is God... I really pity you.

None of us have eaten manna - we weren't alive in Moses' day. Doesn't the Bible say that it disappeared when they finally moved forward with Joshua to the Promised Land?
Doesn't the Bible also call it angels' food?
So, no.............

It's gone.
What is interesting to note is that Jesus attributes Moses with providing the manna.
