All you may know of heaven or hell is within your own self.

If we are willing to suppress our self-centered nature so that our higher spiritual nature can gain control, it will bring about a resurrection and ascension of the transformed self, which can create heaven on earth.

I believe you are correct, but you're not going to get a lot of acceptance here. Most would rather hear about eternal hell and burning until your skin melts off.

That's what Christ actually asks of us: to suppress our self-centered nature. Our self-centered nature can be described as our carnal nature. It can also be described as the natural man. The natural man is a person who chooses to be influenced by the passions, desires, appetites, and senses of the flesh rather than by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Such a person can comprehend physical things but not spiritual things. All people are carnal, or mortal, because of the fall of Adam and Eve. Each person must be born again through the atonement of Jesus Christ to cease being a natural man.

The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit, 1 Cor. 2: 14. The natural man is an enemy to God and should be put off, Mosiah 3: 19. He that persists in his own carnal nature remaineth in his fallen state, Mosiah 16: 5 (Alma 42: 7-24; D&C 20: 20). What natural man is there that knoweth these things? Alma 26: 19-22. Natural or carnal men are without God in the world, Alma 41: 11. Because of his transgression, man became spiritually dead, D&C 29: 41. Neither can any natural man abide the presence of God, D&C 67: 12. And man began to be carnal, sensual, and devilish, Moses 5: 13 (Moses 6: 49).

Hello,
The “suppression” you mentioned as a 1st step in a common practice to deal with things we don’t like or is not right. “Suppression” is resistance which is judgment. If our “self-centeredness” is a problem/sin is it something requiring forgiveness/acceptance/healing. This forgiveness is “transforming”.

I don't believe that. I don't think. When you die you got to Heaven or Hell. I myself hope to go to Heaven. I believe that if you repent, you will go to Heaven. You sound like my real father in a way. He believes that we are in Hell when we are alive. Then we go to Heaven automatically. Religion is really complicated. I just read the Bible and know it is the truth.

It is all a matter of faith; if that is what you honestly beleive then there is no point in asking for an opinion because that is your choice.
