I'm so sorry for your loss. It's quite common for toy dogs to have life threatening complications during birthing. Many do not make it.

As for the puppies, NO SUGAR WATER! There is a mother's milk replacement that you need to get for them or they will not survive, either. They need to be kept warm and you must take over the role of Mom, making sure you gently rub their bottoms with a warm damp cotton ball as if the mother is licking her pups, otherwise they will not be able to urinate or defecate. They need to be fed every 3-4 hours and burped as well.

Please contact an emergency vet, rescue or the ASPCA. They should be able to help you out.

Good luck and please keep us informed.

Either give your vet money for the formula, or head to a pet store and buy some puppy formula and puppy bottles. I don't know if the pet store will be cheaper or not, but you need to find a way to feed those pups before they all die too.

Worry about what gender they are some other time...not when they are starving.

Did they recieve any milk at all before she died? The first milk is called colostrum and contains crucial antibodies - without those they quickly become ill and die. That's why the milk from your vet was expensive...
It is not likely that the pups will do well. I am not trying to be mean here, but if you lose the pups, too, it'll be your fault. If you can't afford to feed a puppy and you can't tell what sex they are I don't understand why you bred the female. For extra money? Because it's "cute"?

I see that internet access is a bigger priority for you than dog food.

You caused death for money. That's pretty much disgusting... you're probably one of those people who have extra children for an increased welfare check.
Shame on you.

Really sorry, you learned the hard way that breeding is not always a gold mine, If you don't buy puppy formula the puppies will die and you'll loose everything, maybe an specialty pet store is cheaper than the vet's office. You may ask a friend to borrow some money, the puppies need formula asap.

If you cannot afford $20 of puppy formula, I don't understand your motive of breeding your female. I agree with Floppy, if you can afford internet services, why can't you pay $20 for puppy formula? Also, please learn to spell "Chihuahua" correctly. You need to feed the puppies ASAP because they can die. Honestly, $20 is not expensive. A bag of good dog treats can cost up to that price. I hope you learn your lesson that you should not breed because having a litter is expensive. Couple weeks before the puppies are ready to leave, find them good and responsible homes.

You don't have twenty dollars to save the lives of two puppies.. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The puppies are probably already malnourished becuase you probably didn't feed their mom either. Poor dog- she probably died of your neglect. Did you breed her? Was she pregnant by a stray large-breed dog? I can't beleive that you're asking this question online. And you drown the weakest links?? Did you make your q&a's private because you were getting critisized for your ignorance? You're a pathetic person and should never have the lives of other living things in your hands.

1) Why did you not spay the dog? You let her go through pregnancy without setting aside money for the "what ifs" and she passed away.
2) The longer they go without eating the less of a chance they have to survive. Puppy replacer is the ONLY safe food for puppies of that age.
3) You need to get your priorities straight.

This is the same person who was complaining last night that they didn't have the money for the C-section that they had been told the dog was going to need, and was asking if there was a way to kill the unborn pups without killing the dam.

You could offer to work for the milk and pay it off that way. The puppies really need mom's milk or some kind of good milk. Too bad, you can't give them yours. from a bottle.
If they don't eat they might die.
Maybe baby formula, but at that early and being broke, it will be just as expensive.
If you hve any friends of neighbors try asking them, otherwise, I would start spare changing. Lastly, report yourself to the animal welfare association, or the humane society. Give the puppies up as soon as possible, and never have any children, puppies, or any other kind of pet.
You are the one that needs taking care of or drowning.

Your puppies need to go to an animal welfare organization. Either the ASPCA, the humane society, ANYWHERE.

If you don't have $20 to save the life of newborns, you don't have the money for vaccinations or other vital medical care.

Your puppies needed mother's milk or the equivalent within a few hours of birth in order to establish their immune system. Bring them to a no-kill shelter NOW and you may stand a small chance of them surviving.

Please don't get any more pets.
