You need to sort yourself out and get out of this daily habbit of drinking and gambling. There is nothing wrong with a drink and a gamble in moderation, but don't let it become who you are, you are better than that.

Don't say you want to die, come on the world is your oyster, what would you like to do? Aim for it, aim to get a job that is possible and that would give you a living and away from the drink and gambling. There must be things you are good at and can make money from.

Yeah things are not good for you right now, you probably feeling really down on how your life currently is which is totally understandable, but it takes a determination to reach your goal for you to do something about it. Aim to be the person you will be proud of being, you can do it if you want it bad enough.

Make a new fresh start, forget the drinking whistky and special brew, that is going to get you nowhere, try and think of how you would like your life to be, be realistic and aim each day to get closer to being that person - not just aiming for jobs and maybe a woman, but being the person you want to be. You can achieve it.

Good luck man, you can do it!

There is always hope but he may have to distance himself from his family, at least at first. It can take some people YEARS to quit drinking/drugging after a major problem develops. They usually have to hit a bottom. You or someone else may think he's hit a bottom, like almost getting hit by a semi, but he needs to feel he's hit a bottom. I started drinking and drugging around 12 but didn't hit bottom until I was 28. Some people don't quit til they're way older even. Some people never. In my case, it wasn't even a moment that was directly drug or alcohol related. I had a psychotic breakdown from my depression, realized my life was unmanageable and that the drugs/alcohol was just making it all worse. People had been telling me for a long time that I had a problem but it didn't make a difference until I came to that conclusion myself and WANTED to stop. I had to stop hanging out with all my old drinking and drugging friends. I occasionally see them now, from time to time but I keep my distance when it comes to certain things. He may have to do the same with his family some day.

Is it not good that you can ask others how you can stop. At least you are aware that certain stuff does not satisfy you. The buck stops with you pal, did Harry Truman not have that on his desk, he was an American president. If only life could be party, party and big money, but like you if I could not get a choc bar I would scream and scream, or go in a huff. It is not fair, people keep picking on me, nobody loves me everybody hates me, it is a shame. Could I change your life as obviously you do not know how to do it, you can be young once although you can be immature all your life. Good luck, the solution is in your hands mate. Although it sounds as if you are in a dangerous neighbourhood in your own head,

Ditch em all. End of story. If you feel addicted to all of these things then GET HELP. Its out there dude. Pull your head in and get a bloody job and stick it out . Minimum wage or not you gotta hang in there. Still at the folks house at 30? Do you pay board? If not then the parents are enabling you to be lazy. Unless you are a rocket scientist you arnt guna earn big bucks . Get off your **** and get two jobs. You have to cut the apron strings one day and get your own place and be responsible for what you do. Life aint about partying every day unless you are a rockstar, which youre not.

Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous. You seem to have a serious addiction problem--it is the same addiction whether to alcohol, drugs or gambling. Check the groups out on the internet or in the local phone book. Go to a meeting. It doesn't sound like you have much to lose by trying, and you can find, through the meetings, a meaningful and productive life. Good luck!

Start with small steps, for example, instead of an all night bender fueled by drugs sex and alcohol, spend lime watching a big game with a mate!!

If you go to www.talktofrank.com you can find lots of information on drugs and help if you want it.

You can also download the frank bot onto your msn if you have one, and ask away.

maybe go see a counciller and busy yourself witn other things and take your mind off needing the drugs etc

Remind yourself that its not too late, you can still save yourself, and once youve done it, youll know it was worth it!!

best of luck, you CAN pull through, everone you know is behind you!

Tell you how to "escape"? Honey, with all you do that's all you are doing is escaping!

What you need is to kick yourself in the butt and get going on cleaning yourself up, and right now. Get into a treatment program for all of those addictions (12 step programs are best) and make the effort, don't expect them to wave a magic wand and poof, you are healed. You'll need to grow up and work on yourself.

BTW if you die that won't solve the problem.

You are wallowing in self pity you are the only one who can help yourself no one can do it for you, I feel sorry for your parents they must be so sad seeing you like this. Pick yourself up and decide that enough is enough, stop the drinking and gambling and get your life back. Good luck
