Ok, I know this is the wrong section for this but nobody could give more answers then mothers (and fathers too). But this is my first Christmas hosting dinner and I'm not sure what all I should make. So I'd like everyone to tell me what their Christmas dinner menus include. Secondly, I also have a baby who will be 11 months old so its his first Christmas. What are some things I could make homemade for him to eat?

well ham or turkey is a great xmas classic. does the baby have teeth and is he used to real solids? he can eat little pieces perhaps *shrug*. and of course the normal extras or mashed potatos and such. i always have gingerbread houses that i made and we break. also i got a great recipe for candycane "bark" which is actually chocolate and white chocolate with candycane pieces on top broken into pieces. its wonderful and tastes great. you can get the recipe off of bhg.com. GL!

Our Christmas dinner includes roast leg of lamb, garlic mashed potatoes, a fresh green vegetable (usually asparagus), a salad, and some nice bread or rolls.

An 11 month can eat whatever the rest of you are eating, cut up in very small bites.

Well, we have a traditional Ukrainian Christmas, so wouldn't be making the foods you would want to!
Otherwise, go with the typical turkey, or a baked ham, or be adventurous with duck or goose. Some hot potato dish, mixed vegetables, a few salads, some dessert and dainties.
About the baby - at that age my child was on totally regular people food, so no allowance had to be made for him!!!

We usually have ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, red cabbage, two types of vegetables *carrots, string beans, broccoli etc* and rolls. Apple pie and Pumpkin pie for desert. Your son could eat everything on this menu just make sure that the ham is not tough and cut really tiny. Mashed potatoes and veggies, my kids love. I wouldn't make him anything special, he can eat all of this stuff. Hope this helps.

Make a traditional thanksgiving dinner... or change it up by having ham instead of turkey... same side dishes.

Your son can eat anything that you guys are eating except for things he might choke on... and skip honey, peanut butter, or milk.

steak and lobster, is what we have, your 11 month old can eat what everyone eats, if you are looking for a more traditional meal you could make turkey and ham or leg of lamb, go to food network .com for some sides and appetizer suggestions

We have started the tradition of having tacos or Indian tacos on Christmas. As far as what your son can eat just chop it up a little and feed him what you eat.
