I guess i got all the vaccines as a baby- but all of a sudden my blood test showed I am susceptible to the virus- and my husband and I are planning on trying again for a baby (miscarred in October) If I had the vaccine- doesnt that mean it didnt work? If I get another vaccine - My husband and I have to try for a baby four months later(which is exactly everything we dont want- we want to try after my next cycle)...Is this vaccine necessary- no one even brought this up in my first (successful) pregnancy???

Not as common as it used to be. I had it when I was a child, but you don't hear of that many cases anymore. If you get it, you'll never be sicker in your life.

Given how shots are required in schools before admission, the chances of Rubella are much lower than in many years past. Having said that though, there are those parents who are against shots (and maybe home schooled) and so we have kids walking without them.
You can stay away from large public places and children the entire length of your pregnancy too, which is difficult.
Check with your doctor to see what is suggested at the point. The most important thing is that you and your baby are going to be safe and if that means waiting, for goodness sakes, what's the big deal?

um when i went to china, they told me i needed to get this shot, that it is, is that we all get this shot as a baby, but as we grow we need to get booster shoots, so our body can keep up with the immunity. Just go to your doctor and see if yor need to update your vaccinatios
