I don't know how old you are but give yourself some time. Sure, date. Just don't get serious right at the beginning. I used to feel that I had to have a man in my life to be happy and complete. That was three marriages ago. Now, I am on my own (for 11 years) and I have never been happier. I guess I always picked the wrong guy because they screwed over me, too. Now I can be with my friends, family, different dates and no one tells me what I can do or not do. I have learned to do all kinds of things around the house and yard. I guess I feel more complete now because I can take care of myself. Good luck! Take your time.

Well, you really need to be happy with yourself before any guy could make you happy. If you are not happy with yourself, guys can sense that and would rather steer clear of you.
And while being with a guy can make things better for you, please know that the EXACT OPPOSITE can also happen, meaning you could end up totally miserable with a guy.
Maybe you are jealous because your friend doesn't spend as much time with you now that she has a bf, and therefore you feel lonely. That is totally normal. Finding a bf won't fix the loneliness you have from missing your friend.

A guy can make you happy, but not without screwing you over. Not all guys are like that, look for a proper one.
ps: sometimes I feel the same too, that I'll be happy with someone in my life. But to get there is sure a very painful thing to do.
I mean, in your quest, you're bound to be broken hearted, sometimes once, even twice or more. Just be prepared about it.

no a guy can't truly make you happy the only way you feel happy in general and when with a guy is when you truly love yourself totally and completely and then you can handle any thing and love yourself like you can't imagine. it sounds like a cheesy hallmark card be that doesn't mean it's not true

answer that question yourself... and if ever you want a bf, dont forget to pray to God,,, He will truly send you someone that could make you happy.. maybe not perfect, but someone that could make your life complete..
