In this Holy Season, it is good to dig deep into our selves to bring out some goodness and cheer to give to those around us. Since you speak favorably of her, a generous tip will be most appreciated I am sure.

As a general rule, it's 1-2 weeks' worth of pay.
As somebody before me said, this is not the place where you want to scrimp. You want to keep her happy working for you if she's doing a very good job.

I would give her an extra weeks pay. I was a nanny full time and that's what they gave me. That was a long time ago too. They also gave me a gift card to a resteraunt that I loved.

At least 1/2 her weekly pay - or a full week's pay if you can swing it.
If she's really a good caregiver for your child, this is not someone you want to be "cheap" with.

Generally, a tip equal to one or two week's salary is considered appropriate.

Always make sure you are extremely generous with the ones who take care of your children.
A month worth is generous.

i've babysat all my life and never got a tip, just pay...i'm 19 now, and i did the nanny-thing...i think it depends on her age, but i would be happy with just about anything...50, 100...heck yes...or you could buy her an awesome gift?
