A few questions about angels. Do they have genders or are they more like Ken dolls (as portrayed in the movie "Dogma")? If this is true, why in the movie "Michael", does that Angel urinate?

Also, do Angels really become human if their wings are cut off? If this part is true and they are genderless, do they then get the right "parts" since they've become human?

These questions are not meant to offend anyone or mock any religion. Please don't take offense, anybody.

Thank you.

If you want to learn about angels read the Bible, only a certian kind of angel has wings, according to the Bible most don't. And angels are Spirits so they won't need to eat or anything like that. We will be the same way someday, when we die if we go to Heaven we will get a Spiritual Body, The question is are you going to heaven when you die.Jesus said in John 3:3 that you must be born again. Are you a Born Again Christian, have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, If you want to see the real Michael the ark Angel then you must believe in Jesus, you must be willing to confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and you need a Saviour. Do you believe that Jesus died on a Cross and then was resurrected the third day like the Bible says, if you do believe this and are willing to admit that you are a sinner then you canbe saved right now and start a new life with Jesus Christ, just pray this sinners prayer believing with all your heart, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Angels are not flesh and blood. They are eternal and were not created to reproduce. We are made in God's image in that we are triune - we have a spirit, a soul, and a body. Only our body has a gender, required for biological reproduction, but it is an earthly body made from the elements of this earth, not a heavenly body as are the angelic beings. Not all angels are humanoid - many have features of different animals, others are completely "alien." Consider the living creatures Ezekiel say in Ezekiel Chapter 1, and the creatures around the throne of God in Revelation. These are also angels. Satan and all the demons are angels also, in all the various forms they come in.

Angelology was something that developed in early Judaism in that certain populations of early Jews absorbed doctrine and mysticism about angels from the Babylonians (when certain Jewish populations were living in Babylonian lands). It was later absorbed into Christianity and Christian magic, which was popular in the middle ages and then punitively censored (now surviving as a marginalized form of western occultism). Angels are supposedly androgenous or asexual although they are depicted as being male or female. In early angel lore, angels were depicted as men probably because people writing legends about angels were men in androcentric cultures. The archangel Mikael is depicted as a man because he is a warrior, after all. Gabriel is sometimes depicted as a more feminine entity. Certain modern western occult schools that work with angels probably have their own unique doctrines about which angels are to be imagined as feminine and which masculine or androgynous.

I think that the movie Michael is simply someone's creative interpretation about angel lore.

Hi!
Angles haven't got a gender. You can say they are... neutral!
Don't believe in stupid movies, the productors like to make it more dramatic, they exaggerate. It was funny, I guess.
You cannot cut their wings off! They aren't consisted of matter! When and if they become human (they help us in another way), they get the gender that God wishes. He knows.

Hope this is helpful.;)

I asked my Catholic parish priest that question as a child. He told me that the Archangles were male ( Michael, Gabriel) and the guardian angels female. I then asked why girls could not be archangels too and he had no answer. Can you say 'paternalistic'?

Angel is Spiritual...to exist in the Physical realm, they must tae on a Physical Form...if that be a human form, they be like humans...

In Spiritual realm (ie, Heaven) there is no marriage or giving in marriage...ie, these Physical concerns do not exist.

I'm reading the book by Billy Graham on Angels right this moment. I'll let you know. (I trust his insight, because he doesn't talk on opinion, but rather fact.)

THEN TYPE IN THEIR SEARCH: Angels

God bless you with understanding this day.
