Every city is a little different for sure. Here in Acapulco..........Its Christmas eve that is the celebration ! Don't know why but Kentucky Fried Chicken has a line out the door. Fried chicken is a luxury for them I guess. Usually families will have street parties. I probably go to 3 or 4 and get home at 5 am. I sleep in Christmas and the streets are kinda quite that day :) At one party they have a round brick cauldron in the basement - it is for this ONE thing only !!! They line it with banana leaves and put in 2 full lambs. Cook all day, and then serve.Meat falls off the bone ! The brain is eaten last, and is considered good luck. After that - on to another party and more food , music and beer. I love Mexico !
