I've done some research on developmental disorders but all I can find is info about children with this, can you explain or give me a link for information about how an adult can have this disorder? Thank you.

Developmental disorders are from birth and then they stay with most people their entire lives. It doesn't just start as an adult. They had it already. So, what you are talking about is adults dealing with developmental disorders. In California, it is the Regional Centers of each county that work with developmental disorders. I don't know how other states do it.
