I am in the USAF Reserve right now, but I am unsure of whether or not I want to retire from it. If I leave after my first enlistment, will I still have on-base priviliges (ex. BX, Commisary, Rec center, etc..) Or do I need to be an official retiree to get these priviliges?

Thanx for serving our country. I truly appreciate it.

You will lose all your current benefits once you are discharged if you do not stay in until retirement.

You'll lose all your base priviliges. Only active duty and retirees have them. Sorry! It took a while, but I got used to shopping off base.

You will need to retire to retain these benefits. You get a retiree id card when you retire, without this, no base privileges.

You have to retire. I would expect if you were in you would know this. They are not going to let you shop on post or use any services if you cant retire.

You will get zero on base priviledeges if you get out after one tour. These priviledges are for active duty, retired, dependents only.

No. Your on-base privileges end as of midnight of the day you separate from the service.
