Hi Shannon...the first kitty would be considered a domestic short hair (DSH) Tuxedo cat and the second a persian.

Here are photos of DSH Tux cats: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=tuxedo+cat&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2
Persians: http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&q=+persian+cat&btnG=Search+Images

The first one next to the bowl is a domestic short-hair cat.

The second one in the tree is a Persian cat. It's a purebred.

The black and white cat is a common domestic short hair. Coloration is known as black and white tuxedo. I have an orange and white tuxedo domestic short hair tabby. I also have a purebred Bengal, but ....he's great!

The second cat is not a domestic tabby, but in fact does look like a Persian cat, possibly a purebred.

The first is a Domestic Shorthair - a basic mixed breed cat. The color is black and white, the markings are tuxedo, but that is not the breed.

The second is a Persian.

I don't get the question. It's a domestic shorthair.

That's all I can see.

Now the cat in the tree is Persian, I think.

I think it's just a cross breed, because I have a cat who looks almost exactly like it (both are so cute!) but my cat came from two different cats that were already mixed breeds.
