Aka Renards Disease. Anyone that also has it.. what do YOU do for it? I'm always freezing in winter. I've tried everything I can think of, I'm trying to find new ideas. What do YOU do?
(Renard's syndrome is when your extremeties turn into popsicles for no good reason b/c you are dressed properly and warmly)

OMG.. three great first ideas/answers! Thanks to you all. If I don't pick you, that's not because it was bad... but only because I can only pick one. Finally... something more than the piddly information that I currently have.

I have a space heater in front of me at all times when I'm at home. and take many hot soaks. I'm also on Warfarin( blood thinners), so almost always cold anyway. Wish there was some advice to give you. Know that I feel your pain. Looking forward to a day when I can live in a warm climate! Hope this site from the Mayo clinic is of help to you.

Nothing works miracles, but one of the best things for Raynaud's syndrome is aerobic exercise - it has lasting beneficial effects on body temperature and blood flow to extremeties. Stretching also helps if you have tightness in your legs or arms - muscle tightness constricts blood vessels. The other thing is to avoid any foods or medications that constrict blood vessels - caffeine is a bad one. When you are going out in the cold medications like the original 12-hour sudafed or ephedrine can reduce the symptoms by dialating blood vessels. Sudafed is completely safe to take, while ephedrine has some health risks. There are also electrically heated socks, slippers, and hand warmers.
