Did you know that Buddha isn't considered a deity? Will that help you cut down on your list of deities to reference when speaking of other belief systems that you have no knowledge of other than what you might have heard from other people who didn't have a clue about them?

Bregweidd, you know that some people, a very, very, small amount, consider Carrot top to be funny, but that doesn't make it true. :D

You should also know that Buddha is not considered a deity because he is already out of Samsara (but deties are still in it). And many deities came to learn Dharma teachings from Buddha when Buddha was alive.

I know that Buddha is not considered a deity, but there are still some things in buddhism that I have serious issues with (like the prejudice against half the population)

Not really one less out of hundreds to thousands is not a major change, and yes, I knew that Buddha was not considered a deity.

Be fair. Some (a very very small number) Buddhists DO consider him a Deity amongst a pantheon of deities.

Yes, I knew that. Buddhism, the way I've seen it practiced, seems more a philosophical system than a religious cult.
