My husband and our son are deploying to Iraq soon. Our daughter is expecting her first baby and I'd like to make a maternity T Shirt for her to wear to the send off ceremony. I need a cute saying to put on the shirt which says something to the effect of "I won't get to meet my Grandpa and Uncle when I'm born, I'll have to wait a while". Now, I know THAT isn't cute...help me out please? Thanks to all who help.

Metallicafreak.........calm down, please. Our son is deploying to Iraq because he has been ordered to do so (as has my husband). We are not "taking him to Iraq" as you put it. He is answering his call to duty, simply put.

My grandpa and uncle are far away but in my heart forever to stay!
My grandpa and uncle are gone to Iraq, they need to hurry home cause there's something stinky coming from my back!
Grandpa and Uncle (name) are working in the sand, hurry back home so I can hold your hand!

i kinda like it. however the belt with the peacock feathers putting down kinda do in basic terms no longer make experience i do no longer understand if i'd be able to drag it off i'd tuck it right into a black pencil skirt or some thing consistent with threat some denim shorts
