Apple cider perhaps?
Some parents dread when their kids have sugar and caffeine loaded drinks that can make them to be very hyper.
Another alternative is to make some sort of punch and give it a medieval inspired name, perhaps "fairy punch", "maiden milk" something like that.
Good luck

It's fine. The kids will love it. Unfortunately you won't be able to recreate everything medieval (it's just not always practical--afterall if you were really in medieval times, the kids would be drinking the meade too).
Sounds like this is going to be a really fun reception. Enjoy and Congratulations!
edit: just saw the apple cider suggestion--I give that one a big thumbs up too! (esp. for the kids who don't like rootbeer--yes I was one of those kids...)

Sounds just fine! Either that or sparkling grape juice is the only thing I could think of to replace the wine

Yes, most kids LOVE those. Another alternative as others have said is punch or apple cider. I'm really not sure how many kids would like apple cider though. I know I don't!!

That sounds good. You could also do apple cider, I think I had that during a medieval thing we did in high school. I think it's a great idea. Your wedding sounds so cute!

You can serve non-alcoholic punch, out of a punch fountain that the kids will get a kick out of. Punch is cheap to make and satisfies most everyone.
--EDIT-- I changed my mind once somebody suggested apple cider. Apple cider is commonly used during Madrigal dinners in place of the alcoholic Wassail. (I was a Madrigal in high school- dressed in 16th century clothing and sang). That's a great idea to go on with your theme.

Yes, root beer, juice, Coke.. whatever. Remember they are kids and the younger they are, the less adventurous they are with food. Familiar food is best, even if it doesnt fit your theme exactly.

again, all i can say is how refreshing it is to hear of a bride who is so concerned with her guests, and who welcomes children to celebrate her big day!
soda, gingerale, rootbear are all drinks our grandchildren enjoy! so i'm sure they would be a big hit!
