Have your meal catered and tell the truth. I am sorry that your Mother didn't spend the time to teach you how to cook.I am hearing this from young women all of the time that they don't know how to cook. I feel so blessed that my Mother taught me.

Pray! Just kidding.......they probably know you don't cook, and if they don't tell them be upfront with them why lie they will find out later. Order in. or go out to dinner. And when they leave go take a cooking class. You will eventually learn. Or watch a cooking show. it's ok. Everyone has been there.

First off, no big deal, relax. It takes practice. A good resource is Kraft Food and Family. They have a website, www.kraftfoods.com. I have done a few of the recipes, and found them to be simple, and good. Or try www.recipezaar.com. They have a Q & A forum where you can post your question, and members respond almost immediately. Or you can search by simplicity, ratings, course, ect.
Good Luck!

Maybe have some food on hand, admit you don't know how to cook, and ask your boyfriend's Mom to teach you a dish. Nothing brings people together, I say, than working together in the kitchen. Stick with chicken, it's probably easiest to improvise with.

Don't be embarrassed; be honest and order in. Better to pay for a catered meal now and tell them the truth, than to "fake it" and cause problems later.
