How can i convert MS Word Xp (Docx) format into Ms Word 2003 format? please help?

I have just finished this research report on MS Word Xp, the report wont open on MS Word 2003 program, saying that it needs a special software or something. I know there is a way to convert formats. Can anyone tell me how please!?

please tell me how to CONVERT Xp format into 2003 format using Ms word XP! the computer which wud run the report is Ms Word 2003 based and its operators wudnt download the required files for compatibility!
