You don't you leave them along until they separate themselves.
Call your vet now and set up an appointment to have your dog spayed. Then you don't have to worry about her having pup or getting a heat ever again.
Dogs don't get raped either. They mate!

You don't. By the time they've 'tied' it's too late - there are no humane ways of doing it. People often chuck cold water on them - how hideous is that? Coming apart too quickly can damage one or both of them - they really are locked together, and they can't come apart until they're finished.
I doubt the female was 'raped' - if she's entire and in season she will have been well up for it! If you don't want puppies, and I highly recommend you don't go ahead with this, the b itch can be spayed up to two weeks after mating - there is also an injection that can be given soon after mating to abort the embryo. It goes by the attractive name of 'Mismate' over here. There is also a series of injections that can be given about midterm which causing abortion, it isn't very pleasant.
Best thing to do is ring a vet. They don't usually like to spay a b itch in season, but they will do if there's a chance she's pregant, just explain the situation to them. Don't put your dog through this anymore, don't risk her future health, and don't bring more puppies in to the world, there are far too many and not enough homes already!

1. You do not do anything they will separate on their own.
2. Spay now, And YES tell your vet that she may be pregnant. Unlike the other writer I know for a fact that the vet is not out to make extra money by charging an in heat or pregnancy charge. When a pet is in heat or pregnant the uterus is more friable and can rupture easily. There is also much more blood flow to that area and it can cause alot of blood loss. That might mean that your pet would have to have IV fluids and other medications. In most cases the pet will be fine. This may be TMI but I feel that as a veterinary professional that I need to let you know all the facts.
3. Dogs only mate when the female is receptive.

He didn't rape her! She wouldn't have let him if she wasn't willing, they aren't humans, silly! Once they are stuck together, it's too late! You just have to wait until they come "undone" naturally. If you don't want her getting pregnant, get her spayed. If she does turn out to be pregnant, the puppies can be aborted. This may be best if the female is way too young or she is a much smaller breed than the male. Hopefully, she didn't get pregnant but chances are preety high if she was ovulating.

Well, once they are together you have to wait it out....don't try to separate them or you will hurt both. The best thing you can do is call the vet and tell them what happened and they will give you an abortion pill for your dog. I had to do that once fo my female when she was mounted by a male twice her size. After that you may want to have her spayed. Good luck

Don't try forcing them apart separately. It will detach naturally. Don't abort the puppies, give them to puppy-lovers who'd take care of them. Yep, the male dog is not a rapist but a lover of the female :D. You're a proud granny now!

you cant without hurting them. It is too late to worry about it now, she will either be pregnant or she wont, If these pups are unwanted then take her to the vet now and get her done. Which of course you don't need me to tell you as a responsible dog owner you should have had this done before. If she is having the pups then get her done afterwards to prevent this happening again and adding to our ever growing number of unwanted dogs in pounds.

It's too late, the sperm are already on their way. Get her spayed next week, and don't tell the vet she might be pregnant, because they'll charge you a pregnancy fee just to make extra money. At 1 week pregnant, it doesn't cost them anything extra to do the spay.
If they were "tied", as they call it, it means she was in heat and ready to mate. If she didn't want to, she would have fought him off, and he wouldn't have been interested, anyway.

You can't. You just have to wait until they're done.
It's too late to separate them anyways. The only safe way to prevent pregnancy now is to have her spayed.
There is a "morning after" shot, but my vet won't do it because of the risky side effects.

if they are hooked just leave it...stressing them out will make it worse and take longer....if you didn't want her getting pregnant you should have had one or both fixed. start finding homes for the pups you will probably have in two months.
