Hair does not always regrow from scar tissue, it depends how bad the injury was. Presumably you took the cat to a vet, they will be able to tell you if you can expect the hair to regrow. It takes about 6 weeks for a healthy, short-haired cat to replace lost fur.

If the cat doesnt have alot of scarring .....yes after he/she heals it should grow back. If there is alot of scars it probably won't grow back where the scars are, just like if you get hurt and scar your hair wont grow through the thicker skin that formed..Hope your cat feels better soon!

Hi Adams, I'm truly sorry to hear abt the bad accident, I'm not a doctor but i've seen similar cases, I'm sorry to say that its most likely your cat will not have hair growth in the areas affected , as similar to burn cases. I can see that you really love your cat & as an animal lover myself I really symphatise with you. I really hope she will heal well & wish that I am wrong. Take care.

O my gosh, poor baby.
The hair may possibly not grow back, if the scrape was deep enough to take the hair follicle roots away.
So you'll dub him 'Patches'?
Scarface?
Carface?
Drug Doug?
Vitamin E helps take pain away, and helps scar tissue heal soft instead of hard. Prick open a capsule (oil based contents), and rub a little on the owees.
