#1 Count your blessings.
#2 Choose to be positive in your perceptions.
#3 Realize that you cannot control every aspect of every occurrence in your life. Forgive yourself for your mistakes.
#4 Forgive others for their mistakes.
#5 Allow yourself to feel what ever you must feel in order to overcome those feelings. Suppressed feelings will eat away at your happiness from the inside out. Just don't act out from those feelings.
#6 Do not let feelings rule your behavior. Use your brain before you do something you will regret.
These suggestions are Biblical sound advice without expecting God to do all the necessary work for you. Developing coping skills is up to the individual. And happiness 24/7 is not possible for any one. Self awareness and self knowledge are needed for these suggestions to be put into practice.

Bidi T...the trick is to make fully aware choices, not thoughtless, self-serving ego-driven choices. The false self (ego-personality) is without full consciousness. When the ego is dissolved (meditation is effective for this deconstruction of the conditioned and habitual patterns we perpetuate), one will begin to connect to one's true, essential nature and flow into the greater Consciousness of the Divine. Only with full mergence with that which is beyond the senses of this world of polarity and constant change will "happiness" be revealed, although "happiness" is a limited understanding of this merged state. To bring this awakened state back to the everyday world is the only approach to what you are calling happiness; it is a flowing into the source of our being, All That Is. I am Sirius

The Goddess leads to happiness. She brings the world into context - you see that everything is alive, and everything is connected within Her. It changes the way you move through the world. You're nicer, feel more loved and accept yourself more because you know that you're loved as an important part of the larger whole.

Well obviously not everyone is going to come across the same choices, but I guess in general a good choice would be one that is true to your goals and desires while at the same time being well thought out and as unlikely to cause harm as possible.

I only found happiness when I turned to God for help. I started reading the Holy Bible-only The New Testament so far. However I have come to believe that it is God's word-how He wants us to live. I had to give up certain things I was doing-drinking alcoholically was one of them. I have broken all God's commandments, but He is Gracious and Merciful if we recognise our sins and turn away from them. I was given the gift of belief that Jesus Christ is God's son and that if we turn to him in acceptance and prayer asking for forgiveness--we will be forgiven our sins.

Learning to write is key. Being able to express yourself will lead to happiness because people will be able to understand what it is your writing about. Take an English Composition class. It helped me and I'm quite certain it will help you. All the best.

You could choose to accept that the pursuit of happiness is doomed to failure until you understand that happiness comes from within.
