Yes they were indeed having sex. However we are told that after the fall, and the expulsion from Eden, God told women that she would bare children in pain., Then it mentions Cane and Able. I would draw from that, that at least these two were born after the fall. Now most of the time, scripture is clear about the first born, but not in this case, so it leaves open the option for children born before Cane and Able. And that would mean while they were in the Garden.

I think they did.After all the first written commandment in Gen.1 says in plain language ''have sex and have childeren''
The kids were not born in the garden of Eden.Only about 'Seth' it is said that he was born when Adam was 130 years old and of course Eve also was the same age.They had many sons and daughters born before or after.

God's first command to Adam and Eve was to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth" (Genesis 1:28), so it appears that sex was on the menu. In fact, God walked with Adam throught the animals looking for a mate to help impress on Adam that none of them qulified, and then produced Eve for him for that purpose.
However there is no mention of children until after they had left the garden. But then, if you read the Bible, you will find that it approves of sex for marriage couples for more than just procreation. It even has one entire book (Song of Solomon) on the subject of sex for pleasure.

GOD IS STRICKLY MALE... He created Adam unto his own image... MALE... and he expected ADAM to copulate with some of the animals that were introduced to him for naming... He must have tried a few of them. Probably he got bored too soon... so EVE was created as an afterthought after God admitted that it was no good for man to be alone! In that note "He created male and female", but that came after the glitch correction! So when Eve was presented to Adam, he was not acting like a nerd he knew a lot about sex! Hey, let’s be honest to the truth in the Bible. I know that prudish Christians prefer to ignore our Biblical roots…

they were novices so were into the kinky sex hence no children were born.
