He was more of an old-school hardnosed hippy. The way he went tearing through the Temple grounds after the moneychangers was old-school "Smash the System" hippie, not sit around, whine, and do nothing worthwhile emo.

While hippies were very big on getting in touch with your feelings, unlike emos, they then were just as big on putting those feelings into action--preferably world-altering action.

no, he wasn't. he wasn't a wussy wimpy needy little boy or girl with a bunch of emotional problems. he was completely dedicated to what he came to do and that was to die for sinful people, open up the way back to God so we can enjoy eternal life.
