Tuberoot, like many, is missapplying verse.

Jesus is the Son of God.

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

The Bible makes it clear that Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit are three distinct persons and NOT just three different names for the same person.

Here is the excerpt from Luke 3:21-22

(21) When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened (22) and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."

* Jesus was in the Jordan River, being baptized.
* The Holy Spirit was descending upon Jesus.
* The Father was speaking from Heaven.

This creates a lot of questions doesn't it?

When Thomas asked Jesus to show them the Father, He said "Have I been so long with you and you still don't understand? When you've seen me, you've seen the Father." and in another place, "I and the Father are one", and yet again, when someone said "You are the anointed son of God, Jesus said "You are right."

The biggest clincher that ties it all together is found in John 1:1 and John 1:14, "In the beginning was the WORD (Logos). The Logos was WITH God, and the Logos WAS God." ... "And the Logos became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

By the way, the word "Trinity" is nowhere to be found in the Scriptures. But neither is the word "Bible", so don't let anybody tell you that "Trinity" is unbiblical, because by THAT logic, the Bible is ALSO unbiblical! Utter nonsense!

Of course there are many MANY other passages throughout both the old as well as the new testaments, but that would require a full essay or even a book, not an answer that would fit here.

How can God get himself crucified for our sins.Just imagine a God got caught and was crucified.
When we call God

He must be One(one and only God)
He Self Sustaining
Neither he begets or begotten
None can be equal to him

Use these 4 attributes you will not go wrong. You will know who is God.
Ask anyone they will agree to these attributes. You worship the creator directly not through something/someone.

Does Jesus(pbuh) fall under the 4 attributes, the answer to no.Does Muhammad,Moses,Abraham (pbut)fall under the 4 attributes. The answer is NO.So I don't call them God.I call them Messengers of God.They are very great people.Their message lives on and on.They guide people to God.

Paul talks about that in Philippians 2:5-11 (among many other places)

He tells us that Jesus has always existed as an equal with God, but that he gave up that position for a time to become a servant, appear as a human, and give his life on the cross. Then returned to heaven where he again took up the position of "Lord", the New Testament equivalent of the Old Testament "Yahwah" or "Jehovah".

Is God a Trinity? Genesis 1:28 tells us that we are made in God's image. Genesis 2:7 give the details: God created a 1) body from the elements of the earth, breathed into it his own 2) spirit and the results was a living 3) soul. So man was made in "three parts".

Each touches a different realm, works by different laws, and has a different purpose. The body touches the physical realm and is subject to the laws of physics, time and space. The soul (which contains the mind, will and emotions) works in the mental realm, has not direct effect on anything physical, and is not subject to the laws of physics. The spirit communciates in the spiritual realm and can talk to God himself. Each is just as much "you" as any of the others. They all form one "you", and "you" could not function without all three.

So God also is manifest in each of three realms that man touches. In the spiritual or heavenly realm he is God the Father. In the physical realm he came as God the Son (Jesus Christ). In the soul realm, he indwells the hearts of men as God the Holy Spirit. Each is just as much "God" as any of the others. They form one "God" together. And God could not function without all three.

Jesus is God

In the Old Testament God said to Moses, “I AM THAT I AM.” This name was used frequently by Jesus to validate His deity. When he frequently used the name “I AM,” He was saying, “I am God.”

“I AM the bread which came down from heaven.” John 6:41.
“I AM the light of the world.” John 8:12.
“I AM the door.” John 10:7.
“I AM the good shepherd.” John 10:11.
“I AM the resurrection and the life.” John 11:25.
“I AM the way, the truth and the life.” John 14:6.
“I AM the true vine.” John 15:1.

The deity of Christ means that Christ is God. Scripture clearly teaches this important fact in the following ways.

The attributes of God are used in the Bible speaking of Christ.

His pre-existence. Christ has no beginning. John 1:1-3; 17:5.
His omnipresence. He is with His servants everywhere. Matthew 28:20.
His omnipotence. He has unlimited power. Revelation 1:18.
His omniscience. He has unlimited knowledge. John 21:17.
His unchangeableness. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8.

The works of God were performed by Christ.

He created all things. John 1:3.
He upholds the universe. Colossians 1:17.
He raised Himself from the dead. John 2:19.

The titles of God are given to Christ.

God the Father addresses the Son as God. Hebrews 1:8.
Men called Him God, and He did not refuse their worship. John 20:28.
Demons recognized Him as God. Mark 1:24.
He declared Himself to be God. John 10:30.

Well, if God calls Jesus God then Jesus is God. And since God DID call Jesus God, then Jesus is God.

8 But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."
( Hebrews 1 )

Not only that, but he is prophesied to be called Everlasting Father:
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
( Isaiah 9 )

So if Jesus isn't God, then why is the Bible saying that He is?

Imagine what the Blessed Virgin Mary must have felt when she was "overcome" by the power of God the Holy Ghost! She was a teenager in full puberty very eagerly submitting to the advances of the proxy agent Saint Gabriel that God the Holy Ghost sent to fix a deal with her. So as soon as Saint Joseph leaves the house on an errand and the Blessed Virgin Mary stays home alone, God the Holy Ghost “overcomes” her in a most divine copulation of unprotected sex ever recorded in religious history resulting in her pregnancy. She was never married to God the Holy Ghost! Today, the Holy Ghost would have landed in jail, but in those days it was common to blame any questionable pregnancy on a deity of some sort. Saint Joseph IS NOT THE LEGITIMATE FATHER OF GOD THE SON JESUS CHRIST! This creates a very vulgar problem! That is why none of the Early Church Fathers ever questioned the "virgin" birth. They claimed that a lot of Jewish girls were eagerly expecting to mother the God Messiah, but that only Mary was the lucky one! Also, the Bible says that God came down from Heaven on several occasions and let a lot of women pregnant, some of them more than once. In the case of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Divine Pregnancy story improves with time. Because of the Holy Trinity connection, the Blessed Virgin Mary became recognized as the Mother of God conceived without the original sin. Always virgin! Her hymen was not torn neither during the intercourse with God the Holy Ghost, nor during pregnancy or at delivery! That is a miracle verified by Saint Salome that bona fide science can’t deny! In 1950 it became a Church dogma that she ascended bodily into Heaven! Now she is the Queen of Heaven!

Jesus is like a perfect glove for God to fit inside. He is a cup that holds God. To call Jesus God is correct because He holds God's spirit and responds perfectly.

John 14:8-14

8Philip said, "Master, show us the Father; then we'll be content."

9 -10"You've been with me all this time, Philip, and you still don't understand? To see me is to see the Father. So how can you ask, 'Where is the Father?' Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you aren't mere words. I don't just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act.

11 -14"Believe me: I am in my Father and my Father is in me. If you can't believe that, believe what you see—these works. The person who trusts me will not only do what I'm doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I've been doing. You can count on it. From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I'll do it. That's how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. I mean it. Whatever you request in this way, I'll do.

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.

Jesus (PBUH) is a prophet and messenger of God just like our father Adam (PBUH).

Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

Jesus is God.

58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

This is an "empatic" in the Greek and is the EXACT name Jehovah used when He answered Moses' question of who He was. Ego eimi - "I AM" . Jesus is Jehovah.
