so there is this guy that I have liked since the end of last year (I am a senior in high school) and I never thought that he liked me. Now that he finally asked me out I am not sure whether I want to or not. (Iasked a question sort of like this a few days ago) All of my friends say that i should give it a chance but I am afraid if I go out with him then i wont be able to get someone who might be better or hotter am I that messed up?

Your too young you don't know what love is or even what it means to "like" someone. If you did like him and or love him you would not be hesitating because of the possibility that you can get someone better.
From what I can tell your nothing more than a $lu7, attention/popularity whore but then again you're in High School so thats normal.. I guess.
Guys are not shoes, that you buy take home and try out for a few days and then return for a refund when you find something better. Guys may be shallow, but at least we're not shallow and HYPOCRYTS!

not at all! your just on limbo on whether you truly like him alot or you just kindof think he's cute. give it a month or so to see how it works out. if you find someone better dont automatically go with them because they may be jerks. get to know the guy and then compare the two and ask yourself which would be better. but yea..you should definitally give the guy a chance, you can always break it off early if you arent feeling the same way he does for you

you have nothing to lose if you go out with him. (go out not sleep with or have a relation with). if you do you might discover he is nice or that you thought too much of him.
you are more likely to regret not doing something than doing it, because there will always be a "what if..?".
it's normal to be undecided, but you have to make up your mind,
if you want something - go for it without looking back and being afraid that you might do something wrong: learn how to enjoy.
but if you start something, be sure to stand 100% for that and give it your all; don't hesitate.
you've wanted this for a long time, are you willing to give it all up because you are insecure?
