If it's read all around it, it probably is infected. And dousing it with alcohol is one thing you can do.

If the redness persists or increases, go to an emergency room.

I am not a doctor but I am a mother with years of experience in cuts, bruises, etc. Usually an infection is green-ish with pus. Alcohol, peroxide, Neosporin are all good. You might also want to keep it covered with a band aid during the day and take it off at night.

If it is swollen and/or very deep, you might want to check with your doctor, as well.

If you have an Aloe Vera plant just take a piece slice it open and rub on the wound a couple of times a day. It should heal it and take away the infection.

Dab some medical kind of antiseptic on it and cover with bandaid or bandage once dry to keep clean. If still red in a day or so yes could be an infection.

Depends on the cut, if its not very bad then just clean round it and put a plaster on it, if you are not allergic to them. If it is bleeding a lot, then either go to the practice nurse or the walk in centre. Obviously if it is really bad then go to A & E and they will assess it, to see if it needs stitching. Also they will give you a jab against germs.

NOO! No alcohol or salt water. Wash with with warm soapy water and then, neosporin or som topical antibiotic twice daily and cover with a bandage. If it is still there or gets worse, see a doctor.

its infected...you could put rubbing alcohol on it, but it would be very painful.
I suggest tea tree oil or hydrogen peroxide..or just washing it with soap and water will help as well

if it is infected maybe you should go to the dr. but you should be fine at least putting peroxide on it...alcohol will probably sting much worse.
