It seems unfair to me that only the bride gets to see naked people in a bachelor party and the groom isn't allowed.

well, its good to have some fun. Strip clubs are always a fond favorite that is seemingly tradition. A lot can happen at a strip club though, and for some men when the bride is not around and the groom knows its his last day as a "bachelor", he may be pursuaded by his guy friends and by the fact temptation is litterally sitting on his lap to do something he shouldn't do. If you are that concerned about what your man may do or see, a fun alternative for both of you would maybe be to hold a bachelor/bachelorette party at home, hire some strippers to come over, and you all can party together! You are celebrating your upcoming marriage, first and foremost. He may love to see you break out of your shell and have some fun with him, and in turn you will know what is going on at all times! try it out. see how it works.

I don't recommend strippers at the wedding.

however as to the bachelor/bachelorette parties...what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If the groom can't have strippers, neither can the bride.

You know, this is one of those customs that for the life of me, I don't understand. If you are really serious about getting married, why do either the bride or groom need strippers?? I'm sorry, but I think we are turning weddings into sideshow extravaganzas and this is just one more thing that takes away from the seriousness of the event and the solemnity of the vows. (Strippers and cake smashing are just two of my pet peeves with weddings).

It's called a double standard, and it's how life goes. This is why the men have to do the stripper thing on the sly whereas the women are more open about it..

If they do that at my bridal shower then I would leave. I don't want a naked man or a stripping man at my bridal shower. It not me that for sure.
