I also suffered with migraines and had to have extensive tests to try and find out why i kept getting them. Mine turned out to be a simple case of food alergy and avoiding certain times of food stopped my migraines.

Below is a comrehensive list that i had to observe in order to narrow the cause down. If i was you, I would try to keep a diary of everything you can.. ie food, noise, smells and surroundings so that you can hopefully see a pattern forming each time an attack happens. That way, with luck you will be able to find the cause / causes and hopefully avoid them.

A migraine trigger is any factor that, on exposure or withdrawal, leads to the development of an acute migraine headache. Triggers may be categorized as behavioral, environmental, infectious, dietary, chemical, or hormonal. In the medical literature, these factors are known as 'precipitants.'

According to the National Library of Medicine's Medical Encyclopedia, migraine attacks may be triggered by:

Allergic reactions
Bright lights, loud noises, and certain odors or perfumes
Physical or emotional stress
Changes in sleep patterns
Smoking or exposure to smoke
Skipping meals
Alcohol or caffeine
Menstrual cycle fluctuations, birth control pills
Tension headaches
Foods containing tyramine (red wine, aged cheese, smoked fish, chicken livers, figs, and some beans), monosodium glutamate (MSG), or nitrates (like bacon, hot dogs, and salami)
Other foods such as chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, avocado, banana, citrus, onions, dairy products, and fermented or pickled foods.
Many people report that one or more dietary, physical, hormonal, emotional, or environmental factors precipitate their migraines. The most-often reported triggers include: pesticides (sprayed fruits/vegetables), perfumes or fragrances (30% of sufferers), stress, over-illumination or glare, alcohol, foods, too much or too little sleep, and weather. Some women experience migraines in conjunction with monthly menstrual cycles.

Sometimes the migraine occurs with no apparent "cause". The trigger theory supposes that exposure to various environmental factors precipitates, or triggers, individual migraine episodes. Migraine patients have long been advised to try to identify personal headache triggers by looking for associations between their headaches and various suspected trigger factors. Patients are urged to keep a "headache diary" in which to note what they eat and when they get a headache, to look for correlations, and to try to avoid headache by avoiding factors they identify as triggers. Typically this advice is accompanied by a list of trigger factors.

I hope this all helps. Good luck.

I know exactly how you feel having suffered with migraines for most of life. Only someone who has experienced them can fully understand how debilitating they are. There are many potential triggers so you need to try to work out what is doing it for you. There are common responses to certain foods, drinks and confectionery. I have also been affected by certain smells, by tiredness, by stress and, surprisingly, by relaxation after a hard week at work.
There are several really effective drugs to treat migraine attacks (best if taken early) and others that help to prevent them occurring in the first place, but you need to talk to your doctor to consider all the possibilities.
It might be helpful to keep a diary, noting what you eat or what you do and when you get migraines. It can help in identifying the triggers.
Once you have it under control, you can have your life back again.... honestly .... and it is SO liberating. Good luck.

You could be constipated and full of poop up to your eyeballs. With all the inactivity sitting in front of a computer all day no wonder. Get off the computer at least every two hours. Make sure your monitor is in a comfortable position, it can be moved, tilted, etc. Hope you have proper lighting where your computer is and not the glare of overhead lights or reflections on your monitor. Walk a block a day, loosen up. Oh, and posture while at the computer makes a difference too. Find out whats the most comfortable position, adjust your chair, don't sit on the edge, etc.

Have you been to see a doctor. Migraine that go untreated will increase in severity. It's important that you take the meds as soon as you feel the migraine coming on.

The reason for this is because your stomach stop digesting during a migraine. So anything that you take while you have a migraine isn't going to work.

Also drink lots of water, because dehydration can make it worse.

it might help to turn yur brightness down, & make it easier on your eyes . any time you get a break try to look at somethig off in a distance. not close up , to rest your eyes.

also the chance of needing new glasses may effect it & cause it.

if none of the above work , you may have migraines that need treated by something like imitrex, or fioranal.

good luck.

Smarty how dare you think that negative way ... Does all your life depends on marks only ... I deeply understand the situation you're in BUT how cheap your life is in your eyes to end it cuz of marks !!!! All of us didn't fulfill and reach everything we wanted to reach, even my and your parents ... but it'll lead you to hell if you do it ... Your parents love you most, do you think they will except losing you for marks ... I beg you, go and tell them, it's o.k. if they are strict and may get sad or even a little bit anger ... This is cuz they LOVE you, and want the best for you, but when you think even of what you thought of, you'll kill them while they are alive ... Dear, the life is bigger and greater than the whole world's marks ... Take another step, discuss with your parents what to do next ... They are your first parteners in this life, share them your sadness do not hide it ... Many people fail at first, second and even many times but they make it at the end ... Grow up, commiting suicide is the worst thing humanity ever know ... May Allah (God) Bless You forever ... (: come on go and tell your parents, you're not a child any more ... You are a future hero I assure you ...

First get your eyes tested, and in the meantime, see your doctor and ask him to give you imigran tablets, they really are a miracle drug for migraine, you take one and within an hour the migraine has gone, both my daughter and myself suffer really bad migraines and don't know what we would do without Imigran, you get them in packs of 6 or 12

Take either hand and pinch the webbed piece of skin between your thumb and forefinger of the other hand. Sounds weird, but try it, it works great for headaches :-)
