2008, or 2007 witch patches, my advice is to dump vista

The most recent version, AutoCAD 2008 is compatible with Vista. AutoCAD 2007 is compatible only after a service pack is applied. Any version prior to that may or may not work, but the manufacturer does not support it.

If you only need 2D drawing, AutoCAD LT 2008 is a good program and much cheaper than the full AutoCAD program.
