I'm 29 and I've never had the flu, never got sick to the point of throwing up. I've had colds, but never a really bad flu.
But two days ago, I was out and about the whole day running errands, and when I got home in the afternoon I started to not feel well. My arms were achy, but I don't have any throat problem and my stomach doesn't hurt. I just feel achy. My nose is running.
I felt better yesterday, but it still hasn't left.

I'd say at least another 2days .Drink lots of liquids including OJ. Get some rest. If you start to run a fever or get really weak than I would say its the flu. Your doctor can give you tamiflu to get rid of it faster.
Hope I helped

If it's Real Flu, a Very Long Time, Perhaps Several Weeks, Many humans Refer to Colds as Flu, they Are Not. In my Opinion, Most of the Symptoms From any Infection Are Due to an Immune Response.

Whenever I get the flu the main symptoms last about 5 days- so thats throwing up etc but for another 2 or 3 days some other symptoms last like runny noses and slight dizzyness.
So if you do have the flu I'd say 7-9 days, but since you've never had it it could be as long as two weeks. Make sure you get good rest and limit your physical activity. Good luck.

A normal flue/cold can last from 2-7 days (maybe more) depending on your immune system.
If you dont get enough rest or any medicine it may take longer or quickly comeback.
So get some rest and drink plenty of liquids.
It can also be allergies, see a doctor for more info
or if you got a pretty bad flu/cold

You have a cold, possibly a bad cold, but you don't have the flu!
If you literally couldn't get out of bed, in fear of collapsing and not getting up, you have the flu! I permanently have a cold like you're describing it's horrible but thank yourself you don't have the flu!
Keep warm and drink plenty of water and OJ and.......
Get well soon!
