which would you prefer to win the Presidential Election? Romney (even though he's a Mormon) or a Democrat?
And Why?

*NOTE: This is a HYPOTHETICAL question, not a prediction of what I think will happen - I, along with everyone else, have no idea who we will actually end up voting between.*

Lewis - I don't feel it's just a show, based on his history in serving his church and exercising his faith. His faith is different from mine - but I do think he's been consistently practicing and trying to grow in his faith for a long long time - not just since setting his sights on the Oval office. I also am not very well versed on Mormon doctrines (I am aware of Joseph Smith and Jesus coming to America that they teach) but as for "becoming like Jesus" - doesn't all of Christianity teach us that we're to emulate Jesus - WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) and so on? Those are all forms of trying to become like Jesus. Should we be shooting to become God? No, only God is God, but as a Christian, I do believe that I should be trying to become like Jesus in all my words, actions, etc. - sadly, I miss the mark by endless miles more often than not, but I am trying. Isn't that what we're suposed to be doing as Christians?

Wow the responses here really show Americas ignorance and/or bigotry toward Mormonism.

- Mormons don't worship the Devil. Look at their fruits. "By their fruits ye shall know them."
- They aren't seeking to set themselves as equals to God. They simply see their relationship with God as a family relationship rather than a master/servant relationship. They believe they can and should follow their Father and become like him.

People are too quick to believe unfounded rumors and form misconceptions and biases. If they haven't gone to the source and thoroughly studied things out, they shouldn't criticize, condemn or discriminate. Doing so is bigotry.

Thankyou from Sweden. I continually prominent your Socialist equipment of preparation. absolutely everyone can get any preparation they choose and no classes is paid by the pupil. besides, while a new child-kisser says some thing like "decrease taxes for the wealthy will create jobs", all of us understand that it fairly is fake. companies create jobs while there is an develop in call for for his or her products. they might borrow money at checklist low costs of interest in the event that they choose it. A tax smash in basic terms provides them a flash interior the pan which they're going to pay out in bonuses or dividends none of which creates any jobs. neither! unless Democrat would stand on the platform against Gay marriage and against abortion have to vote my heart. Mormons dont worship the devil! But they do have cultic teachings(become like Jesus) and you cannot seperate your belief from you that is the most absurd thing I have heard recently, Perhaps you can as a politician but maybe the belief is not real just a show to get elected? Emulate yes they teach we can become like Jesus. Good resorce Bibleanswerman.com Hank hannegraf has great info check it out!. WE really as Christian need to understand religion's we really need to understand our own we are defenders of the faith in Christ Jesus we are not him! Read Mormon scripture John 1vrs 18 thet take son (Jesus out ) and put in God what does the bible say about those that change scripture!

I realize that many people have issues about Romney's faith, but why are people more concerned about that then his policies?

Bill Clinton is a Southern Baptist. No one questioned his beliefs and look at his behavior in the White House. It seems that people want to elect someone who believes the same as they do, regardless of whether they are true to their faith or not. Quite strange.

I would vote for Romney.

There are Christian Democrats. But Mormons worship the devil, so obviously vote for the Christian, regardless of party affiliation.

Mormons worship the devil? That's news to me. And I think that someone's religion shouldn't matter in an election. What should matter is their willingness to keep church and state separate, and their ability to run the country. Who gives a damn about what religion somebody is...or isn't?

Don't see anything wrong with Mormons, in general, so if that choice came to that I would probably vote for Romney.

Btw, Billary wants you to know she is a Methodist.
( as if she is actually a Christian )

I probably won't vote this time around.

I'm afraid for this country. We seem to have abandoned the faith that made us so great. I don't understand it.

I would choose not to vote.

Whenever I am forced to decide between the lesser of two "evils" I must recognize the common denominator in both choices....."evil."
