Hey, I was wondering what the best free mac word processor is? I've just gotten mac and i don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on the mac edition of office.

Try NeoOffice. It's an office suite with word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software for the Mac. It's open source and free.

Also if what you are trying to create is a simple formatted document, TextEdit which comes with the Mac way be able to handle your needs.
