Is PS3 is losing the format war against Wii & 360 Elite?

First "Royal" format war???? Format would mean in example BluRay & HD DVD (VHS & BETA)

As for the "Console" war.... you can not take the G$ opinion as FAIR AND BALANCED. That's like me saying my wife is hotter than your wife, just because she's my wife and I have her back.

I don't think you can compair the 2 1/2 (because Wii is in a diffrent catagory) until the end of next year to be completly honest. Once both makers have 2 solid years to compare against each other then we'll see who is on top. 08' is going to be a strong push by Sony... but only time will tell.

The PS3 has sold about as much as the 360 did after a year and this is including that it only came out in Europe in March and it's biggest games like FFXIII, MGS4 and Killzone 2 aren't even out yet. It's also way too early to say that it's losing the format war, both the PS3 and wii have only been out a year. The Gamecube and original Xbox's early sales were both higher than the PS2's early sales but it ended up with the PS2 selling about 5 times as much as the Xbox and Gamecube. In surveys I've seen it's shown that Playstation owners have more brand loyalty than those of other consoles and the majority plan to get a PS3. Considering there are over 100 million PS2 owners and because of the PS2's age many of them are ready to upgrade things aren't looking bad for the PS3. Many people are just waiting for the PS3's price to drop below a certain level or for a certain game to come out.

The ps3 from nov. 06 to march 07 , it 's first 5 months sold 5.5 million consoles and since march has a a 198% increase in sales.

360 from nov. 05 to march 06 only sold around 2 million then it discontinued regular xbox and saw a sale increase.

Total 2 years of xbox sales including 3 holiday black friday sales based on units shipped to stores (stores buy them to sell to customers) is over 10 million but those numbers include the 33% of all 360's sold that require exchange for red ring of death issues through the extended warranty sold seperately through stores.

So for every 360 bought 33% are exchanged and replaced by a new one through the stores extended warranty. Xbox 360 sold and shipped (except the stores warranty department is the purchaser.)

So take 33% off what G4 reports as 360 sales numbers and you have a more acccruate idea of how many 360s are actually bought by a household and in the hands of customers around 8 million. This figure does not included alll the 360s sent back to microsoft directly for exchange due to red ring of death.

Wii has respectfully out sold them all.

No If you notice G4 is all about the xbox 360. They give over inflated reviews of 360 games and say little about games on the ps3. They never mentioned to my knowledge about the better physics and gameplay and graphics of the multiplatform games such as Call of duty 4 on the PS3 ...they just hacked apart the game on the 360 version.

When they review games that are mulyiplatform they talk as if the game is exclusive to xbox 360 as well. Take what hey say as opinion not fact and that's it.

G4 is a good channel, but it is extremely biased. They side with the xbox every chance they get. I think this is because their viewers are mostly xbox owners.

They may have been referring to sales, but remember the PS3 was launched a year after the 360 so sales are obviously going to be a year behind. They probably failed to mention this, being biased and all.

no way ps3 is gonna win xbox 360 was released 2 years ago and ps3 last year and all of xbox most wanted games came out this year like halo 3 so it doesnt have anything left for next year
ps3 huge games r coming in 2008 like MGS4 tekken 6 killzone 2 god of war 3 and resistance 2 (not sure about resistance) so xbox doesnt have a chance against ps3 in 2008 50 explusive games r coming for ps3 while 15 games r coming for xbox 360

It makes sense since 360 came out first, even with its huge RRoD flaws people bought it, this was cuz people are stupid, do no research and just buy whats new. Then when PS3 came out, all those stupid people had alredy bought their 360s and there was no need for them to get a PS3. I have no doubt that PS3 is superior and I wouldn't use a 360 unless it was given free to me, (along with free LIVE and a wifi adapter, cuz I ain't payin for that shyt) So I guess PS3 is loosing the war, but not because its inferior.

Microsoft and the Xbox web site call G4 "Friends of Xbox" as seen on my source...

I wouldn't put to much faith in what a friend of Xbox says about the Playstation.
