I wanted to know if you think I was justified in throwing my x's stuff out after he started sleeping w/my friend 2 days after we broke up? Would you store your x's stuff if they started sleeping w/your friend? If not, how much time would you give them to come pick it up?

If you were living together, you legally cannot get rid of her stuff. If it was just a casual arrangement that she stay at your home so many days out of the week but had her own place, I would give her a week. If she was not able to come and get her stuff due to certain circumstances then arrangement should be made that are convenient for the both of you.

If she fails to come on the stated date, I would call the cops to have them give you a legal answer. I've seen many cases where an angry partner threw their significant others belonging out or sold them and were help accountable.

Just keep your head in the matter, that way you don't get burned even more.

If there isn't much stuff there and you have had it this long, don't do it just as retaliation because you are upset. Be mature about so you can't be held liable in the end.

I wouldn't have stored anything belonging to a shack up.
