On the London Overground (moreso than Underground, as my particular journey involves Overground) if I have a season ticket Zones 2-6, can I still go THROUGH zone 1? Even though i'm not getting off? Basically I want to go from Zone 2 South London, to Zone 2 North London, but the train will go through and stop at stations in Zone 1. Am I covered???

I agree you cannot travel through Zone 1, but there are ways round this. You don't say where exactly in Zone 2 south of London so it does make advising a little difficult. There are trains run by Southern which travel via Clapham Junction (Zone 2) and the West London Line to Watford, stopping at Harrow and Wealdstone (Zone 5). Alternatively, you could travel to Lewisham (Zone Two) and catch the Docklands Light Railway to Stratford (all Zone 2). At Stratford you could catch the Overground North London Line westwards, or the Central Line northwards or 'one' services to Romford etc. A travelzone map is available at:- http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/Travelcard-Zones-Map.pdf
and a study of this could help you plan a legal journey!.

Later - re your supplemental. Yes, you can do this. Clapham Junction to Willesden takes you from Zone 2 into Zone 3 (for which you are covered), change at Willesden Junction for the North London Line to West Hampstead which takes you back into Zone 2.

The popular interchange points on the North London line (Willesden Junction and Stratford) have been put deliberately in Zone 3 whilst the rest of this orbital line as far as Acton Central is in Zone 2, so that passengers (I refuse to use the term "Customers") have to pay the extra fare should they wish to ride through these stations.

Only way to avoid it would be to go via clapham junction and the West London line. Avoiding the centre will be easier when the East London line extentions open

I think not, as the purpose of excluding zone 1 is that you don't use the popular parts of the journey in the centre but make use of the less crowded parts of the routes. It's not just about people using the exits.

I could go on but it would be against the guidelines.

No - your ticket is only valid within the zones you have paid for!

Think about it - for the price of a Zone 6 ticket you could not travel all the way from say, Cockfosters to Heathrow! (both Zone 6)!

No I am afraid not via Train / Tube unless you take the roundabout route. HOWEVER not a lot of people know this, if you use the BUS network, you can as long as you do not try to get off in Zone 1.
Good Luck

specific a holiday card gives you infinite style of journeys on the Tube, DLR, London Overground and national rail centers interior the Zones you have paid for (e.g a Zone a million-4 holiday card is barely valued for infinite journeys interior those zones). it is likewise facilitates you infinite style of journeys on the Croydon Tram link as will as all London Buses (alongside with 24 hour routes and evening Buses), regardless of what zones you have on your holiday card and that i think of you apart from would get a 0.33 off some river centers on the Thames

Regret to say that I don't think so. Your journey has to be entirely in the zones mentioned on the ticket.
