Well...it's not God's order...even though I'm very religious. It's constant work. It's unconditional love. It's trust. It's the way he looks at me. It's the way we make up after a fight. It's the way we fight. It's the fact our fights are a whole bunch of nonsense and not ever over nothing serious. It's the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I'm with him. It's the fact when he says I love you I know it's the truth and nothing but. It's the way I feel when I tell him I love him. It's the way we already know what each other is thinking before we say it. And great sex may have a little something to do with it.lol So many different reasons....that's just a few. I could go on and on.
I tell you what though.... it's a lot more work than I ever thought it would be to share your life with someone.

No marriage will last without the four C's:
Compassion
Commitment
Communication
Compromise
Then there's that whole "love" thing...but I can honestly say that sometimes, not only have I not especially liked my husband, I've had to force myself to love him. We've had some tough times.
But the 4 C's are always there. And that's what keeps us together.

My mother and father happened to love each other very much for 60 years, up to my father's death. That's what kept them together.
