Ok So I have a major crush on one of my friends and have just found out he is moving 6 hours away! How crap is that! Anyway I don't know if he feels the same way but for example in a 3 line message he called me darling 3 times and wrote lots of love. He also calls me babe, and my lovely etc. He also got msn messenger (which he hates) just so that he could talk to me, well that's what he says anyway. I spent 3 weeks practically living with him so I know he isn't a player BELIEVE ME! lol He is one of the sweetest boys in the world and means so much to me.
Anyway am I working too much into this or does he like me?

Anything is possible but if i were you i wouldn't read too much into it. You 2 have been friends for 3 years. Maybe him call you babe and my lovely, and ending notes with lots of love is just a way of showing his genuine friendship for you. Living 2gether for 3 years as friends, sounds yall may have simply built a sibling like relationship.
He seems to have a lot of great qualities and could see why you may feel the way you do, but why are you waiting till you find out he's moving 6 hours away to bring these feeling out??? Is it only because he IS moving, and you realized that you may be missing out? If he was staying, would you be content with just remaining the friends you 2 have always been??
Why is he leaving? Is it a career move? family reasons? change of environment?
The best thing for you to do is just come out and tell him how you feel.

If you practically lived with him, ask him. you should be able to ask him in what direction he sees the relationship moving.
