my friend who happens to be a girl sent me this message saying she was cold and tired and if i had a good day.

i sent this reply

'my day was good because i didnt have any lectures. loads of work though. if youre cold and tired, i suggest you have a hot bath, some tea and an early night'

is it stupid? i was being genuine. i know some guys will think im gay for writing that

You definitely should have offered to warm her up or take her out for coffee or something. But besides that fact it was a pretty general male friend/ female friend message.

Ok. If I was that girl, I would be sort of disappointed with your answer. I wouldn't send a random text to a friend telling them I was cold and tired if I didn't wanted them to cheer me up or something.

Personally, I think it sounds fine. though I might word it a bit differently. maybe 'If you're cold and tired, maybe a hot bath...... might help"

Nah, I don't think you're being silly for writing a note like that. About it being gay... well, I had asked coupla' gay friends and they said you should with haste join their club.

um maybe she told you that for a reason...haha. either that or she was just stating a fact. kinda...harsh with the "if you're cold" part. i think she may of said that either

a) for sympathy or
b) to start a conversation with you
