In the book of Genesis where it refers to Adam's Rib, the Hebrew word for Rib literally means the Curve. Some speculate the DNA curves or helix, and not literally a rib, its just back then they hadn't coined the word DNA yet. Lol
H6763
צ××¢× ×¦××¢
tseÌlaÌ‛ tsal‛aÌh
tsay-law', tsal-aw'
From H6760; a rib (as curved), literally (of the body) or figuratively (of a door, that is, leaf); hence a side, literally (of a person) or figuratively (of an object or the sky, that is, quarter); architecturally a timber (especially floor or ceiling) or plank (single or collectively, that is, a flooring): - beem, board, chamber, corner, leaf, plank, rib, side (chamber).
Essentially God took the feminine aspect of Adam and made Eve, or a curvy man, for basically all woman means is Womb-Man. Believe it or not Women are men too just a different type of man, a man that can bare children. So God created man to plant the seed, and Women to bare the seed.
As far as Women taken men for a ride through the ages, well Lol you can say the same thing about men. For every woman you've listed, you could list a thousand men who have pretty much treated women like ****.
Eve - Adam (he was just as responsible, Eve didn't force him to have sex with Satan)
Mary Magdalene - What exactly did she do wrong?
Golda Meir - What exactly did she do wrong, I heard she didn't take no ****?
Indira Gandhi - I guess you despise women with power. Lol
Hillary Clinton - Bill Clinton (She isn't worth listening to and neither was he.) RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!

God bless

Goddess gave birth to everything that exists, including you.
Down through the ages we've had:
Isis,
Aphrodite,
Diana,
Sappho
Hypatia
Queen Nefertiti
Queen Boudicca
Queen Elizabeth
Queen Isabella
Veronica Franco
Marie Curie
Abigail Adams
12 Million political victims of the Inquisitions, most of them women,
Mary Wollstonecraft
Mary Cassatt
Virginia Woolf
Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and the rest of about 75 women who endured prison and torture to get American women the right to vote.
Mileva Maric (Einstein's first wife who did the work he got the credit for - she got the money, he got the prestige)
The Native American mothers and grandmothers who kept their traditions alive into the present day in spite of organized genocide
Elizabeth Gould Davis
Eileen Morgan
Sally Ride
Eileen Collins
Nancy Pelosi
Starhawk, Z. Budapest, Shekhinah Mountainwater and the other Mothers of the Dianic movement.
and that's just off the top of my head.
Any more questions?
ETA: CARL F- that's not the 'word of god' that's the word of a creepy criminal who never even knew Jesus, but he knew a good con when he saw one. All of the misogyny in the New Testament comes from Paul, not Jesus.

God created the woman to be the man's help in service to God. It is said in
Genesis 2:20 (King James Version)
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
The Man was created for God but not for the woman.
1 Corinthians 11:9
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Eve was made from Adam's ribs to imply that Adam should be her boss and that she would have an age exactly that of Adam's.

Wow. And im not sexist here so dont take it the wrong way but thats why paul told the corinthians that he does not allow women to speak up in a sunday meeting for it is disgarceful and that woman are not to be in charge over a man. Go ahead gimme a thumbs down but thats what Gods word says.
But we men are also stubborn thats why it also says woman are the heart of the house.

God created woman to be a helpmeet for the man. That's not to be confused with a doormat, slave, or punching bag. God expected the man to treat her as well as he treated himself. He took the rib from man's side as a symbol of how they should walk side by side, not one behind the other. As far as your comment about men being unfairly taken advantage of through the ages...I'll leave that up to the rest of the gang, who I'm sure will enlighten you as to the error of your ways. <*)))><

Sorry to burst your bubble but, God (if you believe the crap!) actually was supposed to have created woman from one of ADAM'S ribs! of course all this happened about 5,000 years ago, which is a load of cods wallop as we all know, mankind has been on this planet for millions of years and we all come from a BLACK ADAM & EVE! Contrary to what the Churches are trying desperately to convince us of.

You're a misogynist. Some women gelded you and you're angry. No matter what we men say, women really do rule the world, so the sooner you accept that, the easier life will be for you. Be glad I don't tell one of my three beautiful, intelligent sisters about you.
To the hater below, SENATOR Hillary Clinton would have done just fine without her husband.
Marie Curie?
Florence Nightengale?
Rosalind Franklin?
Lynn Margulis?
Shirin Ebadi?
Barbara Forrest?
Eugenie Scott?
Betty Friedan?
Oh, who is that European astro-physicist? Help me out here, she's with CERN.
