The word "Christian" was actually mentioned in the Bible...
Acts 11:26
and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
Acts 26:28
Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?"
1 Peter 4:16
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
All verses are taken from the New International Version Bible.
Cheers!

I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. Christian is applied to believers in the Bible
Acts 11:26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
Acts 26:28 And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”
1 Pet 4:16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

The word Christianity isn't in the Bible. You're right but neither is the word Holy Bible, but we all call it that.
To be a true Christian is to be Christ Like. A follower of Jesus Christ.Live your life as Christ.

The scripture states, that is was with divine providence that the disciples were called Christians in Antioch.
Acts 11:26 " the disciples also were divinely called first in Antioch Christians." (YLT)

I'm agnostic but Christian just means someone who believes in Christ, Trinity and the New Testament of the Bible in addition to the Old Testament. Just because the Bible doesn't say the word "Christian" (I don't know if it does), it doesn't mean that it's wrong to come up with a word for it.

Did you ever look up the root word of Christianity? Because, the term Christian means "Christ-like", or believers in christ..
Now tell me, is Jesus Christ not mentioned in the bible?

It is in the bible check out Acts 11:26
It is a slang term, probably meant to be derogatory, from Antioch.
At that time Christians referred to themselves as followers of the way. Jesus being the way of coarse.

The word Christians does appear in the book of acts. The followers of Christ in Antioch were labeled Christians as an insult. However, they took it as a compliment and the name stayed.
