I need some lunch ideas. The break room has a fridge and a microwave. I'm tired of bringing sandwiches and leftovers. My sandwich is usually cheese, deli meat, tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce between bread. Sometimes I'll use a tuna salad instead. I'm asian so usually my leftovers are rice with a dish of meat and vegetables.
I work in a retail drug store so I've recently started buying frozen microwave foods like pasta, paninis and soup. There's also a few fast food restaurants around but I don't want to keep eating fast food and sooner or later I'm going to get bored of the frozen foods.
I've tried salads but the lettuce usually dies in my fridge before I get to it or I don't have enough vegetables.
Anyone ahve any idea what I can bring for my lunch? Preferably they're quick and easy to prepare. I'm usually too tired. I have a slow cooker so if I only need a short time to prepare it and I just need to throw it all in the slow cooker I'll take it.

I also have a George Foreman grill so if anyone has any quick ideas for that I's like to hear them.

Take some Vegemite sandwiches, try Vegemite and cheese, Vegemite and lettuce or Vegemite, cheese and lettuce. come on, give it a go. don't know what country u are in but you can buy Vegemite all over the world now, get into it love. You have to have butter or margarine with these sangers(sandwiches, with two slices of fresh bread, not those stupid things the yanks call a sandwich, bread roll things.)

I like Chef Boyardee microwavable pastas and Cambell's Soup ToGos for a change from the sandwich.

For a better salad - try the bagged lettuce or spinach. Also, don't mix any of your toppings until you are ready to eat. I have found that the moisture from the greens escapes into the croutons and nuts.

Here are some great slow cooker ideas. http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/dinner/planning/dinnerplanning_slowcooker.htm

Maybe you can convince your coworkers to take turns bringing in a main dish once a week?! Or maybe you could all bring in a salad topping and leave it at work?

I really enjoy fruit salads! They are easy to make, and they are also very healthy! You could also try some crackers and cheese? These are just some ideas for light lunches.
