Ohh yes it is Justin!

yes.

But I like the fertility bunny myth better than the "some guy died for me and didn't even bother to ask me" myth.

If people knew of neither and asked to choose between, there would be one long line and one short line. (Hint: the short line wouldn't be about sex and candy!)

I agree with Shadowfax, at least on this one. The Easter Bunny is similar to the Tooth Fairy, whereas Jesus of Nazareth was allegedly a wonderful philosopher, maybe a little sunstroked, but who is credited with founding Christian principles of behavior. Although a devout Atheist, I am often described as Christ-like with an acid tongue but without the bloody thorns.

First of all, Jesus DID exist whether you believe he is the son of God or not. Most historians even those who do not believe that he was the son of God, will tell you that he was a real person. I will also tell you that I have a relationship with Jesus; it might sound a little crazy if you don't understand it, but he is my friend and I talk to him. Can the Easter Bunny do that?

There is no point in believing in the easter bunny whose existence lies merely in myth or tales, and who did not, and can not lay the basis for believing. On the other hand, the existence of Jesus is undisputed by serious historians (among whom you are not) and Jesus himself laid the basis for believing. Hence, there is no point of comparison between the easter bunny and Jesus, or equating them.
Your question is loaded. It really makes no sense; it's the type of question that members of the pseudo-intelligentsia ask. Many of them feign wisdom, but end up eternally foolish. It's too late when they realize it. What fools!

The Easter Bunny is a pagan fertility symbol - it's origins are obvious and still with us today... everyone know about the prodigious rate of procreation achieved by rabbits.

Jesus is a myth based on an older pagan god (Mithras) which has no discernable foundation in truth outside a book written (and substantially edited and altered) by men and which also includes a variety of very obviously impossible statements and occurrences

nahhhhh, The Easter Bunny is not a modern invention. The symbol originated with the pagan festival of Eastre. The goddess, Eastre, was worshipped by the Anglo-Saxons through her earthly symbol, the rabbit.

One is a Christian symbol and the other is a Pagan symbol.
Jesus and bunnies are both real beings.
Jesus' resurrection and the egg symbol both represent new life which happens to be celebrated in the spring.
...I dont know why people here choose to attack one belief system over another...what good does it do? Just answer the questions or move on if you cant say anything nice.

Well, the Easter Bunny is a Goddess symbol, and Jesus, who may have been a Goddess-friendly fellow, claims to be born of the anti-Goddess, so they are different.

I don't know if either of them are real, but I have seen bunnies and I have never seen Jesus. My money's on the Bunny.

The Easter bunny has never bled on a cross and Jesus doesn't wear a big colorful bow tie and hand out eggs each year for his resurrection.

Nobody was brutally tortured and murdered for the sake of the Easter Bunny.
