born again?

I have read the bible and I am also baptized, however, I have never heard the phrase "born again" before. Where is it coming from? What does that mean?

I only have one live and can not be born again and I sure don't have 9lives.
Born again doesn't make any sense, because it represents to me, that you have to kill yourself and than you are born again. This phrase is not in the bible.

You are a spirit temporarily housed inside a perishable body. Being born again means identifying with the spirit that you truly are rather than your flesh.

When you are spiritually reborn, the things of this world have no attraction for you. The real and lasting things of the spiritual world become the norm for you.

Born again means a "spiritual rebirth."

Being born again is quite simply this; you were born sinless, but being human you were born destined to sin. Therefore when you find Christ as your lord and savior you are born into a new sinless life that Jesus has granted on the cross. Don't take that the wrong way you will sin again even if you are trying not to, but Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice and you are now clean and forgiven.

Go to Gospel of John3:3. Born again simply means that you have become a Christian. You have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and that he rose again. You have to belief by faith in Jesus and confess you are sinner. No one but Jesus has ever been perfect. Once you believe by faith on Jesus and confess you sin you are born again or you have become a Christian.

Read John chapter 3. Jesus said you must be born of water and of the spirit. water is your physical birth and spirit is your belief that Jesus died for you and you accept Him into your life.
