tan.

What difference does it make? Jesus was Jewish, and not remarkable enough so much so that Judas had to point Him out among His followers to the Roman soldiers.

EDIT - And you're right of course, discussing this is definitely missing the point. =]

Actually the question matters, because I am from Vietnam and have darker skin so I have really noticed that Christians make Christ out to be a Scandinavian viking, which is like making Christ a pagan because the Indigenous religions of Europe were pagan.

Someone beat me to it. Our society portrays Jesus with light skin because people are/were more comfortable seeing him that way. It's good that Jesus' race and appearance don't matter to you-- I say that anyone who wouldn't like to see a Middle Eastern Jesus is a hypocrite.

I don't have a clue what your point is here.
supposing it is in reference to an earlier q., I went to your profile and checked out your q.s

I think your understanding of what God did in redeeming man is a little askew.

He did not set aside fairness, which would mean his righteous judgment.

He made a sacrifice of his only son and judged him.
The debt we owed for our sin is vanquished.

Haha wouldn't it be cool if he was blue? THATS how much it matters.

I'd still think he was a great guy even if he were blue. In fact, I'd respect him a lot. Tough life being a primary color.

if jesus was dark-skinned but all our representations of him show him as fair then that tells us a great deal about the messages the churches are really selling.

it tells us something the churches would rather not think about of course.

and if you really don't want to think about something, why should you?

Who , what , where , when and why .

How many virgin births and children of God did we have before Jesus . How many since .
I would imagine that the son of God would look just like the people who invented him .
