I have a sister who actually tells her children that Noah didn't have room for them on the Ark and so they perished - if you can believe that (even her kids don't).

Peace!

First of all; I am not religious, I am a disciple of Christ. There is a difference; in which I would love to get into great detail about, but that is not the question here. My belief and the current belief of a lot of Christian scientists; is that dinosaurs existed before the flood. After the flood; the world did not have the right conditions for many dinosaurs to live, or they could not hold such a massive size any longer e.g. modern reptiles.

Fossils of dinosaurs are here from the animals which God had created prior to creating Mankind. All creatures are considered by God to be sacred and have meaning and reason for living. when their time was done, mankind evolved from the remnants of those great creatures. they were loved by God and cherished by him, as are we, who now presently occupy His planet. This could occur again if man becomes extinct, but even tho we would be gone, the new species will be just as loved by God as we were. And we, along with the dinosaurs, will move on to a new non-physical existion, in a world that cannot presently be seen by us, because that world is non-physical.(some would say spiritual)

The Bible would not state the age of the earth. some assume a youthful earth and dinosaurs to have existed previous to the flood. some assume the creation of the earth to embody a protracted span of time and dinosaurs to have existed previous to Adam and Eve. some interpret the passages in Genesis as bearing on an old earth, yet a recent restoration of that earth alongside with the creation of Adam and Eve. if so, dinosaurs would have existed previous to Adam and Eve and probable besides the undeniable fact that many tens of millions of years in the past scientists say they existed. you won't be able to element to somebody and say "you're religious. you may desire to be anti-technological information." it somewhat is only no longer actual. i think in a literal interpretation of the creation account in Genesis and notice no project with the present medical relationship of the existence of dinosaurs.

Orthodox Jews insist that dinosaurs never existed because they are not mentioned in the Bible. At least they talk about them.

Not well.
Their explanation is either they are fake, god planted them to test us, or dinosaurs lived at the same time as man. Oh and carbon dating does not work.

I had an idiot friend tell me in the 6th grade that "dinosaurs bones were put in the earth to decieve mankind by the devil".

I looked right at her and said "Are you really stupid enough to believe that?".

She had the grace to look ashamed and shrugged.

They deceive themselves with that kind of stupidity, rather than admit the truth, because its easier than letting doubt dribble into their religious beliefs.
