My friend told me that he hinted at being gay during a party when he had 2 shots. It wasnt that much at all. we are in high school, from what i know of he hasn't been interested nor went out with any girl through high school. THough he has liked 2 very attractive girls in middle school.
My friend tells me he and I are like the opposite, he's like the little kiddy type of class clown while im like the aspiring young professional girl all mature and everything
but i love his stupid jokes. and yes he does talk to everyone given the chance. but he talks to me too. and in class he sits in the front and i dont know if he turns back to look at me or that he just likes turning back we bump into each othere, there is eye contact. but it may mean nothing
he speaks to me of nothing but schoolwork. A good intellectualy conversation always can take place. once online i tried changing the topic and he stopped talking.
what should i do?

He will tell you if he is gay if/when he wants to. Till then, just treat him like you usually do. The more you get to know someone, the more they will trust you. If he happens to be gay he will tell you if he wants to and trusts you.
There isn't really "signs" of being gay, so the only way you would really know, is if he told you or was openly out.

He may not know if he is gay himself and may be experimenting. Get to know him better as a friend and enjoy his company. When you feel you can trust him, hint at how you feel about him and watch his reaction.

maybe he just likes talking about schoolwork and that stuff around you, because you come off as the intellectual-working type.
I dunno I have people stop talking when I change the subject, and same for me - to them.
I think it's um.. they feel offended in some way from trying to talk about something else; kind of strange.
