GOD can be defined in many terms from many people. It is basically whatever you want him to be. For those who are atheists, GOD might be just a figure the people of the church hide under to elude the fear of nothingness in death. For the agnostics, GOD is something that you are not sure of, and don't understand its meaning. You feel that its mystery has not yet come your way. As for the believers of all sorts (for Christians, Muslims, etc.) GOD is the creator, the savior, and the pathway to a better future when you finally perish.

Scholars are not in full agreement as to the meaning of God’s name, Jehovah. After extensive research on the subject, however, many believe that the name is a form of the Hebrew verb ha·wah′ (become), meaning “He Causes to Become.”
