right. Are marriages arranged for them?
(I am not a mormon and never intend to be one. I am just curious).
And why does a woman need a man to get to heaven?

Is this not a religion created by a man or what?

I must inform you that your premises are incorrect. A woman does not need to get married in order to get into heaven. A woman does not need a man to get into heaven. She does need the atonement of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Men need the same saving grace from Jesus to get to heaven.

Women are no more limited in heaven without a man than a man is limited in heaven without a woman. God will not deny any blessing to either a man or a woman who through no fault of their own were unable to keep a certain commandment, or were unable to abide a certain law, or were unable to meet a certain requirement for a blessing.

Mormonism is not a man-made religion. False reports about the Church are man-made.

I have a question for you. If you had a choice, and I say "if," to live for eternity as a separate and single individual, with no increase, or you could choose to have a loving and equal spouse to share eternity together, and see an increase in your posterity, which would you choose? Thank you.

The corollary is that men cannot enter heaven without a wife. (A man is not without the woman in the Lord). So, there must be an opportunity following mortality for a men who are not married to find a wife and visa versa. (Boys and girls who die in infancy don't get married) Reminds me that as mortals there is much we do not know. I do not think that this issue proves Mormonism is a man-made religion. Mormons believe that religion is a mortal organization. In heaven they are not Mormons, they are simply children of God, but they believe that the marriage relationship continues in heaven and that a person's identity as a male or female continues in heaven.

The only requirements for salvation are faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Children under the age of accountability are saved in the Celestial Kingdom without Baptism.

Without an eternal marriage, neither the man nor the woman will be able to have a fulness of joy. They will have their reward, but it will limited. As Jesus said there is no marriage in heaven. You must be sealed upon the earth. During the millenium those who were not able to find the right partner, may have another opportunity.

I'm a Latter-Day Saint, and I'm 40 and not married. I'm divorced now, I probably will not get married again. I'm tired of that mess. I have a good future for myself doing my own thing.

It's cool. I get the whole bed to myself--well, somewhat. There's always a dog or two hogging the covers.

I'm not worried about getting into heaven, either.

Okay, Isolde--Limited reward????

you say that a woman doesn't have a fulness of joy without marriage? What if she is not lucky enough to find someone to marry? Why should she be condemed because all the guys in the world are too shallow to see how cute she is?

You have misstated Mormon belief. We believe that marriage is essential for the spiritual progress of both men and women. However, those men and women who do not have the opportunity to marry in this life (for whatever reason) can certainly still get into heaven. In 1996, Elder Dallin H. Oaks, one of the worldwide leaders of the Mormon Church, stated: "Through the merciful plan of our Father in Heaven, persons who desire to do what is right but through no fault of their own are unable to have an eternal marriage in mortal life will have an opportunity to qualify for eternal life in a period following mortality, if they keep the commandments of God and are true to their baptismal and other covenants."

P.S. And no, Mormons don't typically practice arranged marriage.

No, I believe that you must only be married to reach the Celestial heaven (forgive me Mormons if I'm wrong). To answer your third question, all religions are made by men.

Edit: Wow, did I actually get that right?

If they cannot find Mr right then when they die they will be able to still be married. God will not deny any one who has a good reason the full benefits of his grace.

I have no clue if you are right or not, but that is actually pretty unbiblical. You get to Heaven through personal commitment to Christ. He gives you salvation, there is no work you can do to earn it. Marriage shouldn't have anything to do with salvation, and the bible says quite clearly that nothing does, except for God's grace...

lol that is kinda absurd, don't ya think? Such a derogatory message...a woman defined by a man's presence to get into heaven, what's next--polygamy? ooops
Well, I guess if God intended it to be this way, He would send a Mr. right.
